PicCollage-Ways to use in your classroom!

PicCollage is an easy and fun way to have students show their learning!

Students can use PicCollage at the beginning of the year to introduce themselves to their classmates. In primary grades, it is a great way for the students to identify and recognize the names of others.  Students can also create a collage of things in which they are interested.  Compile each student's PicCollage into BookCreator for the students to learn about one another.

Students can use PicCollage to create parts of speech.

Have students sequence a story.  The students below retold The Three Billy Goats Gruff by Paul Galdone.

Students can go on a Scavenger Hunt to find words that begin with a certain letter or end with a specific sound.  They can try to spell each word for the picture that they find. The students can also go on Scavenger Hunt for 2-D shapes, 3-D shapes, and/or angles.  Make it even more engaging by having the students search around the school or on the playground!

Have students show various ways to make a number.  You can have the students use a variety of manipulatives to show their number.

Another option is to give the students dice and have them write the fact family for the number they roll.

Have students show different ways to make money and capture the various ways.

The options are endless.
