This year we've all been working in unprecedented times, and many of us have been asked to teach in new ways using new tools that we've not done in the past. With that in mind, I wanted to share some of the best new tools, software and gadgets to make teaching and learning in a pandemic just a little bit easier.
Thinkboard
- Think Board is a peel and stick surface available in a variety of sizes as well as clear and white.
- Stick it to a wall, place on a table, etc. Use Expo markers to write on it and a microfiber cloth to erase. Point your Doc Cam at it and share with others
- One version is a Rocketbook Whiteboard Beacon page. Scribble things down, set up a snap cast and beam it to your students or save it for them to access later.
- $29.99+ for a 3 pack. Combo packs also available.
Lume Cube
- Lighting makes a large amount of difference when you are on a video conference.
- Type of light as well as brightness can be changed by hand.
- You have to point this light directly at you to be most effective unless you have a
- low ceiling which you can point the light to bounce said light. It however comes with a diffuser to soften the light on your face and students.
- $70 and available now https://bit.ly/2Ajy727
