Share a technology memory from when you were PreK-12 school age
When the PS2 and Wii first came out, my older sister and I thought we were so cool to have one. We used to play Guitar Hero for hours! Another memory I have is when I was in the “technology classroom” in 6th grade- which was a trial run for adding technology to my elementary school. It was the first time in our district that a classroom was 1-1 with devices. We each had an old laptop. We got to be the Guinea pigs for the beginning of digital learning!

Funny Google Meet or Zoom mishap since the beginning of pandemic
I was in the middle of a parent-teacher conference virtually and my dog busted in the room and jumped on my lap because she was afraid of a noise outside. I was in the middle of talking about NWEA scores and it was hilarious!

Advice for teachers making eLearning Day plans
Give the students something fun to do! Make them get up and get active.

Favorite Canvas feature or tip or trick
Utilizing BitMoji characters to make digital learning more personalized and fun is a great way to get
students engaged. I will often use my Bitmoji as a “button” that students can click on to take them to different pages either through Canvas or to a completely different app.

Favorite Seesaw feature or tip or trick
I love giving oral directions that my students can listen to with headphones. It makes it so I don’t have to repeat myself over and over again.

I also love turning outlines that other educators in the US have created and changing them to fit the needs of my students, as well as adding in links to videos that students can watch to go along with the lesson.
