Share a technology memory from when you were PreK-12 school age
I loved to play Reader Rabbit on our computer. We only had one computer in the house (it was in the living room), and my mom bought the program to help me learn to read. The rabbit would pop up, and I had to play the game finding the letters and words. It was endless fun, and I still think about it!

eBooks or printed books
eBooks! I like to read in the dark, so my Kindle is the best option. Holding open a book in bed has resulted in many bonked noses from it slipping out of my hands. The Kindle is less abusive :)

Advice for new teachers or teachers wanting to gain confidence teaching with technology
Plan the lesson first, and add the technology if it fits. Don't create a lesson BECAUSE of the tech. It should be the sprinkles on top of the cupcake's icing - not the cupcake or the icing.

Advice for teachers making eLearning Day plans
Less is more! Avoid overloading your students. Have them work on strategies you have already taught, and don't introduce new content :)

  1. I also love to read at night and have found the Kindle to be the best option- especially if my husband is sleeping! Great tips! Love the sprinkles of tech-not the icing or the cupcake :)

    1. I recently invested in a new reading lamp for the downstairs floor of my home. I decided that I keep falling asleep too fast when reading in bed!
