February
More importantly than serving as home to Digital Learning Month, February is home to Black History Month. Also of note, Wednesday, February 3rd is World Read Aloud Day.
Reading aloud, a classroom best practice for learners of ALL ages, has looked a lot different since we began social distancing nearly eleven months ago. While a digital recording will never match the magic of a live read aloud in-person, technology has helped Noblesville Teachers sustain this essential practice. Teachers have relied on document cameras, AppleTVs, Zoom & Google Meet software, YouTube, and screen recording tools such as Quicktime, Loom, and Screencastify to keep read aloud time sacred.
