One look at Carrie Huffman's Canvas courses reveals that she is very comfortable with technology in her science classroom at the high school. When I approached her about the blog, I thought we'd discuss instructional design or standards-based grading. She instead wanted to talk football! More specifically, the role technology is playing in her role supporting the NHS Football Team.

Carrie and I met at the home locker room at Beaver Stadium on a sunny Friday. As someone who doesn't watch much football, I struggled to keep up with the terminology. But it wouldn't take much background knowledge to recognize that game preparation looks different than when I was a student cheering from the stands in the early nineties.
Here are some ways technology enhances Noblesville High School football on and off the field.
Carrie kept returning to the idea players are always studying and learning. Their work is very academic. I'm sure I would not have believed her without seeing the hardware. But that could be the greatest beauty of this technology -- its invisibility to fans.
